Debra S. Gibbons, DVM, MS, DACVR, Imaging Director
Dr. Gibbons received her DVM from Colorado State University
College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1996.
After completing an Equine Field Services internship at North
Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine, she
returned to CSU to pursue a residency in Diagnostic Imaging. Dr.
Gibbons became a board certified veterinary radiologist and a
Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology in September,
2001. Dr. Gibbons has practiced veterinary radiology for the past
four years, working in Denver, Colorado, and her home city of
Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Gibbons' professional commitment is to
bring veterinary ultrasound services, radiographic interpretation,
and assistance with advanced imaging procedures to the general
practitioner as a way to improve the quality of medicine, quality
of treatment, and quality of life experienced by our veterinary
patients.
Jake
Hersman, DVM, Equine Director
Jake Hersman graduated from Texas A & M University College
of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. Dr. Hersman established the Argyle
Veterinary Clinic in Argyle, Texas, a predominantly equine practice.
In 1990, he established the Las Colinas Veterinary Clinic, which
premises are now devoted to the Animal Imaging Center. Dr. Hersman’s
areas of interest include radiology, scintigraphy, and lameness
diagnosis and treatment for the equine. Dr. Hersman will provide
radiology examinations and consults, assist in equine MRI procedures
and direct the equestrian imaging program for Animal Imaging.
Julie
Petre, DVM, Small Animal Director
Dr. Petre is a 1996 graduate of Texas A & M University College
of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Petre has worked at the North Texas
Pet Emergency Clinic for the last 5 years in Emergency Medicine,
Critical Care and Medical and Surgical Management. As Small Animal
Director, Dr. Petre will provide anesthesia and patient care to
small animals having imaging procedures done at the facility.
Andrea
Komkov, M.S., DVM, Nuclear Medicine Director
After completing her M.S. in Physiology at Texas Tech University
in 1983, Dr. Komkov went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary
Medicine degree at Texas A & M in 1985. Dr. Komkov trained
under Dr. Dan Hightower in Nuclear Medicine at Texas A & M
University. She has been a Veterinary Clinical Associate, Graduate
Research Assistant, Teacher and from 1995 until 2004 was a partner
and owner of the Animal Medical Center of Richardson. From 1992
until the present time, she has been the Director of Nuclear Imaging
at the Las Colinas Veterinary Clinic. This role will continue
with Animal Imaging. Her interests are in Oncology, Internal Medicine
and Endocrinology.
Marilyn
Moss, MRI Technologist
After a very diverse career in radiology management, Marilyn became
interested in providing MRI services to the Veterinary market
in 1999. Marilyn owns and operates a small animal MRI business
in the North Texas area, and has vast experience in the field
of veterinary MRI imaging. As the lead MRI technologist for Animal
Imaging, she will bring her superior technical experience and
knowledge to our staff, enhancing technical protocols and the
ability to provide exceptional image quality to our referring
veterinarians.
Lynne
Castleman, Nuclear Medicine Technologist
After a career in the radio and television industry, Lynne turned
her lifelong love of horses into a nuclear medicine technologist
position with the Imaging Center conducting bone scans under the
direction of Dr. Becht and Dr. Komkov. Lynne is consistent in
her ability to produce quality studies to enhance the diagnosis
of pathologies and abnormalities in the equine patient.
Stefanie
Tkach, Office Manager
Stefanie is a 2004 graduate of Texas A & M University with
a Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness. Stefanie has many
years of experience in the banking industry. Stefanie brings her
business background to Animal Imaging in the role of Office Manager
for the facility. Focusing on effective practice management, Stefanie
works as a liaison with our referring veterinarians to schedule
procedures, coordinate transportation, and provide reports and
images to our referring veterinarians.
