ANESTHESIA
The anesthesia protocols and equipment at Animal Imaging were designed
and implemented with the assistance of Dr. Dave Hodgson, D.A.C.V.A.
of Kansas State University and Dr. Nora Matthews, D.A.C.V.A. of
Texas A&M University. Animal Imaging utilizes the Surgivet MRI
compliant anesthesia machines with pneumatic ventilators in the
equine and Moduflex MRI compliant anesthesia equipment in the companion
animal. Sevoflurane is the anesthetic agent used. Animal Imaging's
DVMs administer anesthesia. With the assistance of Dr. Hodgson and
Dr. Matthews we anticipate expanding continuing education opportunities
regarding anesthesia at the Animal Imaging facility.
